This is a series of five 60-minute classes for beginners or Yoga practitioners interested in returning to fundamentals. This class introduces the basic postures (asana) and movements of yoga. This class combines the Hatha style of gently holding yoga postures and the Vinyasa style of linking breath and movement that leaves plenty of time for exploring and feeling the postures and receiving feedback and assistance in an accepting environment. Each class begins with breath control exercises (pranayama) and ends with a brief period of meditation/reflection.
